BEHIND THE MADNESS 'You wanna age faster?, go ahead and sleep in some makeup', was my grandmothers words of wisdom, when she used to fore warn me of makeup's costly side effects if not removed at the ending wear point. Have you ever slept in makeup then wonder why one or two days later you find that a comedome (pimples) or two have shown up and ruined your day?. Firstly makeup gets into your pores regardless, its inevitable, so without the proper removal of makeup every night, what your body does is it reacts to this foreign substance (makeup) invading its space and It eventually tries to push the impurities out, forming pimples, It can also age you because if your pores don't get the proper cleansing, and availability to oxygen (skin needs to breathe) it can result in lines and wrinkles forming.

How to prevent the madness In order to prevent makeups nasty side effects such as aging and pimples, remove it EVERY NIGHT. I know, I know sometimes you get in the house too late, whether its due to work or a night out partying with friends, and it just seems like a task that you are not up to doing. Well a faster way to remove makeup would be to invest in makeup removal cloths,they are a great and fast way to go about it. In addition to that, a great way to ensure that your pores are really clean, is to invest in a facial cleanser that is specifically formulated to cleanse the pores, and use it after the makeup removal cloths. This nightly routine is guaranteed to help fight the madness! and produce flawless skin. Also a sure way to help with your skin care routine is to drink lots of WATER!

MIRACLE In my opinion concealer is the most important necessity of ones personal makeup kit or that of a makeup artist. There are so many benefits from finding the correct concealer. Using it correctly, concealer can change a persons life as far as physically and mentally. I say mentally because having that confidence  to know you have flawless even skin is priceless, even if it is temporary. Targeting mainly on areas such as under the eye, sometimes over the eye lid, and areas around the face that are stained with hyperpigmentation, acne scars, etc. the right concealer does wonders on concealing imperfections.

TYPES OF CONCEALERS Cream concealer is the best type of concealer to me. I prefer cream over liquid. It just gets the job done better in my opinion. It offers better coverage, as well as better control when applying the product. There are many different applications and techniques to applying concealer, but my advice is to find a routine that works best for you, as well as taking into consideration of how much hyperpigmentation and darks areas you may have.Top brand like MAC, Estee lauder, Makeup forever, Eve pearl, Bobbi Brown, or Dermablend all have great choices when it comes to concealer. They may be a little pricey but, the price reflects its quality. One affordable good quality concealer i've found is from Coastal scents. They cave a couple of nice palettes that are cream based and works just as well as some of the top brands.

SHADES If you have found your perfect foundation shade then finding your perfect concealer shade will not be hard at all. Your concealer is usually one to two shades lighter than your foundation, and just like foundation you can mix colors for the perfect combination. Different shades of colors you need may differ when it comes to different parts of the face and neck, depending on the dark area and how pigmented it is, and a color corrector may be necessary.

My love for lashes are extremely intense. I love the way they look! I love the variety of them! You can wear lashes to make them look as natural as your own, to as Dramatic as you want! I love all kinds i do not discriminate. Lashes to me are the finishing touch to any look!. Don't get me wrong I don't wear them everyday, I also love my natural lashes, but false lashes are that special occasion, or that added 'something' on an ordinary day. They are flirty, they can be sexy, fun, or sophisticated. Any combination or looks can be achieved with falsies. My favorite are dramatic lashes of course, anything long, full, and glamorous looking i absolutely adore. I mean my motto is ' go big, or go home'. Individuals or strip lashes will make my day! I love individuals for a more natural look, they are awesome for everyday wear. And strip lashes are what i would consider my club or photo shoot lashes. I do mix this up don't get me wrong, i will just wake up one ordinary day not doing anything special and just say, hey i feel like wearing strip lashes today, or i want to experiment with a look. There is so much you can do, and so much that has been done with lashes! And once i found out how to apply them there was no stopping me. If you have yet to try them, make sure you do!

I know you may have heard the term "If your skin looks great, your makeup looks better" or something around that phrase. And I believe that is so very true. Only so many blemish scars or hyperpigmentation marks,etc. can be covered by makeup, without looking "unnatural". It is a very important key goal when applying makeup (foundation, concealer, highlight, or contour), especially for everyday, to make it look as natural as possible. Having so many blemishes, and trying to cover them could come off as looking "cakey" or "too much", resulting in letting everyone know " HEY! look at me I have on makeup!" and you don't want that. It should be questionable to the naked eye to whether you have it on or not. Skin hyperpigmentation comes from many different resources, but in this article I am gonna talk about, yeah you guessed it!, SUNRAYS! There are different kinds of sunrays, but there are mainly two that are proven more harmful than others. So if you ever wonder why you buy sunscreen, these two sunrays are the cause. UVA and UVB.

UVA- These sunrays are considered the "aging" sunrays. They're intensity has the ability to penetrate through the surface of the skin, resulting in exactly that, aging of the skin,along with premature wrinkles, sunspots, hyperpigmentation etc. These rays mainly effect the skin's outer appearance and if exposed to them regularly without protection could speed up those symptoms even faster. These are the rays indoor tanning salons use, they are considered more relatively safer than UVB rays.

UVB- These rays are considered the "Burning" rays. UVB rays are considered worse because their rays are more likely to cause skin cancer. Other rays can cause cancer as well, but it is the UVB rays that are most common. Depending on a person's skin type, their skin maybe unable to absorb these rays properly and result in sunburns easily. Anyone can get burned from these rays, but there are people that can get "burned" more easily than others, without the proper protection, due to their skin type. Some people may have more melanin in their skin, which blocks out some UV rays, but not all.

So you see, proper protection from the sun is vital to your health, and your skin's appearance. EVERYONE needs protection from UV rays, meaning all different skin types and tones. Taking proper precautions are necessary, all year round, not just in the summer, because UV rays are present all year round. You can benefit so much from healthy looking skin, and don't forget it, makes your makeup look better. Did you get your bottle of sunblock today?

What does Makeup My Flaws MEAN?

I came up with that name because I thought what better choice of words to use when describing the process of applying makeup to enrich and enhance ones features. I don't mean it as, everyone that wears makeup is flawed or disfigured, But that everyone has there "perfect" imperfections and we should enhance what we love about ourselves. Everyone has something or another they love about themselves (well you should) and I say why not flaunt it? If you love your eyes, promote them. If you love your lips, show them off. Makeup is the added essence to our beauty. And that is why I love what I do. I love looking and feeling gorgeous (with or without my makeup, and thats how everyone should feel) as well as making other people look and feel gorgeous. When you feel beautiful, It exudes confidence, and you feel like you can take on anything. But remember makeup or not, if you aren't beautiful on the inside, no amount of makeup can cover those "flaws".

To Trend or Not to Trend?

That is the question...lol. Is it necessary to follow the latest trends in fashion and makeup? Being that there are 4 seasons in a year and with every season comes change in the weather and the perception of what is 'in' and whats 'not' is Exhausting to the average person. I myself feel that it is YOUR choice. Do i think its necessary? NO. Do i think its fun, and do I do it? YES. The whole process to me is exciting to see what is gonna be in this seasons trends and who will follow them. Which celebs will also trail along in the trending line. To me its different opportunities to change up your look and venture out of the boring 'everyday' look and into fun more modern ones. Some people get the misconception that trending is just "following" what everyone else is doing. It is, but it isn't. There are ways to tweak and twist a look and make it yours, and would highly suggest a person to do so because, what looks good on another person may not look good on you. Its just an overall pleasant experience, and would highly recommend!
